Falmouth Bike Lab is an all-volunteer run community bike shop focused on helping people get access to bikes. We take in donated bikes, refurbish them, and give them away for free. We also provide helmets, hi-viz vests, and lights. We will also guide you through doing your own basic repairs.
We have given away over 288 bikes between June 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. We just may have just the one for you |
Looking for a bike?
Do you need a bike to get around town? The FBL may have just the one for you.
Stop by any Thursday evening from 6 pm to 9 PM and we'll try our best to get you set up. Our stock is constantly changing and is often limited, but we usually have a selection of bikes suitable for kids and adults.
All our bikes are free.
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis - there is a whiteboard where you can add your when you arrive.

Bike Lab is located at 205 Teaticket Highway, Teaticket, MA - in the beautiful Teaticket Park. Our shop is not visible from the road, but if you park in the upper parking lot across from Cumberland Farms and walk down the hill you’ll find us. A search for Falmouth Bike Lab in Google maps will drop the pin right over our front door.
We are open to the public every Thursday night except holidays from 6pm to 9pm, year-round. On Thursday nights in summer we often fill up most of the lower parking area with bike stands and people working on bikes, as well as people waiting for bikes or learning how to take care of their own bikes. We won’t do the repair for you, but we will provide the tools, guidance, and parts you need to get your bike going.
We rarely close, but in extremely cold winter weather we might skip a night as our shop is not very warm. Check our facebook page for closure and other information.
